Per the artist, Vincent de Boer:
"My long standing collaboration with the musicians of Ill Considered proves to be continually challenging. The basic principle has remained unchanged since the beginning: I behave exactly like the musicians, but create images rather than audio. With the latest album 'Liminal Space', this manifested itself in a total discomfort at first and a welcome surprise later on.The musicians dubbed, layered, cut and made digital adjustments, something that is unknown territory in my art practice. It took me a couple of months to get to fertile soil, after which I was in a position to produce. The front and back cover, several animations and recently two works that, as of now, have become available as prints. What you see is simple: a 'reinterpretation' with the paintbrush of the figure in the foreground of the album cover. However, digitally edited, layered, dubbed and echoed, just like the music."
